Indoor air quality (IAQ) has emerged as a critical concern in corporate environments post-COVID-19, particularly for financial institutions where occupant health and productivity are paramount.
SensusAir, an innovator in AI-driven environmental sensing, conducted a trial test study with one of the biggest banks in Africa to evaluate IAQ and mitigate risks. Utilising a four-pronged approach, non-intrusive, event-driven sensors collected real-time data on particulate matter (PM), carbon dioxide (CO2), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and other airborne compounds from November 2020 to June 2023.
The study, structured in three phases, focused on
- baseline telemetry,
- risk assessment,
- and forensic analysis.
Results reveal elevated PM 2.5 and VOC levels, including carcinogenic compounds like formaldehyde and benzene, necessitating targeted interventions. This white paper underscores the efficacy of SensusAir’s technology in enhancing occupant wellbeing, aligning with global IAQ trends, and supporting the bank’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) compliance.
